Avebury enclosing a stone circle, with a rampart as well a ditch and two avenues. This site derives its name from a nearby village Avebury in Wiltshire. The pre-historic remains found at this site are inclusive of the remains of a child referred to as 'Charlie'.

Dating back to 2,600-2,500 B.C., Avebury covers an area of about 28 acres. The museum at the site displays one of the finest collections of pre-historic remains in the UK. The site is open to the public at all times, yet it is advisable to check the timings through the Museum and Tourist Information Centre.
