Jorvik Viking Centre

Jorvik or the Viking City can be explored for those who have a keen interest in the Viking history. Jorvik Viking Centre is an ideal site to understand Viking history, wherein archaeologists unearthed the ruins of the Viking city of Jorvik. This museum was created by the York Archaeological Trust.

The staff of the museum is dressed in the Vikings costumes that assist in navigating through the 800 items that were found during the dig by archaeologists. In fact, reconstruction of York as in the 975A.D. has been set up with the blend of the peculiar sounds, smells, as well as the sights of the age.
