National Portrait Gallery

In the year 1856, the National Portrait Gallery was established. It accommodates over 1,000 portraits of both men and women from the Middle Ages up to the present-day. These portraits are inclusive of Henry VII, Queen Elizabeth II amidst others. Its portraits collection comprise of over 10,000 photographs, miniatures, paintings, sculptures, watercolours, caricatures, silhouettes, and even drawings.

The National Portrait Gallery has several publications to its credit as well. The Gallery aims to encourage the exhibitions of its artworks by means of the well-documented titles. Its publications are inclusive of Self-Portraits, National Portrait Gallery: A Brief History, Daily Encounters, Interrupted Lives and many more.
