Osborne House

Osborne House was purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a retreat from the Buckingham Place and Windsor Castle. The Osborne House is the former royal residence that is placed in the expanse of 1000 acres. The original house was too small for the needs of the royal couple, and thereby a new structure was constructed that stands till date.
The design of the Osborne House was drafted by Prince Albert himself along with Thomas Cubitt. In fact, it was in the Osborne House that the Queen Victoria and Prince Albert decided to bring their children. The house and its grounds became open to the public in the 20th century.
