Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury Cathedral entails a history of over 750 years dating back to 1258. The legend goes that the Bishop shot an arrow, and it fell to the site wherein the Cathedral is built. The town of Salisbury grew around this Cathedral, and then its name.

The general tours to this cathedral are inclusive of the chapels, the Chapter House, the ground floor of the cathedral as well its cloisters. The year 2008, is celebrated as the 750th anniversary of the consecration and completion of the Cathedral for which special events have been organised throughout the year. Children below the age group of 5 years aren't permitted to tour the towers of the Cathedral.
