Tower of London

Tower of London was initially constructed by William the Conqueror in 1078 and subsequently completed by William II. The structure is situated just adjacent to River Thames. The tower has been employed as a palace, arsenal, prison, treasury and even as a zoo. It houses the Crown jewels. It is also referred to as the Medieval Palace as well as Bloody Tower.
This structure has been awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Site status. To view the tower of London, it may take up to 2-3 hours. The towers are guarded by Yeoman Warders, who perform the 'Ceremony of the Keys' to secure the tower for the night.
